DEPTH AND HEIGHT
Many consider birds among the most striking expressions of beauty in poetry; their songs have inspired countless composers, and bird metaphors are common in folk music. This idea is explored in the NAVIA Project's special concert, where poetry and music are gently woven together around a bird-inspired theme. In creating the program, artists collaborated with renowned Hungarian composers Dániel Csengery and Szabolcs Mátyássy. The musical selections include Hungarian and European folk songs, literary texts, poetic images, and visual elements. The performance features singer and narrator Andrea Navratil, pianist Zsuzsanna Grósz, wind player Péter Bede, double bassist Gyula Lázár, and percussionist Csaba Gyulai. Their performance is brought to life by Mária Sz. Nagy's sand animations. If you love nature, birds, poetry, music, visual art, folk traditions, and their interconnections, you will surely enjoy this concert!
