Organist Ádám Tabajdi and a group of musicians from Pécs invite you to a moment of Christmas contemplation in a truly special formation. This concert comes to life through a unique artistic meeting.

The members of the Harmónia String Quartet are musicians of the Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra; tenor István Horváth began his singing career in Pécs; and horn players Lajos Szilágyi and Péter Kreutz have been supporting the work of Filharmónia Magyarország for many years. Ádám Tabajdi gained extensive international experience as organ scholar of the Cathedral of Notre-Dame in Paris and as resident organist of the Kitara Concert Hall in Sapporo, which has established him as one of today’s outstanding young Hungarian organists. In 2023 he won 3rd prize at the Longwood Gardens International Organ Competition, and in 2021 he took 1st prize at the International Organ Competition of Toulouse. His musical thinking is characterised by an analytical approach, technical mastery and deep instrumental knowledge, all serving the coherent interpretation of the music. In his programming concepts, he continuously seeks new ways to express the intellectual connection between works—either by delving into a single stylistic world or by bringing seemingly disparate compositions onto common ground. In his concerts, he aims to foster a closer connection between the audience and the music through his personal introductions.

At this concert, they will offer a uniquely crafted celebration of joyful music-making.
